Surrealism is a modern Western literary genre. The two world wars prevailed in
Europe and had the most profound influence in the field of visual arts. Committed to exploring the subconscious mind of human beings, advocating the breakthrough of logical and practical reality, completely abandoning the realistic image based on logical and orderly experience and memory, and integrating the concept of reality with the experience of instinct, subconsciousness and dream to reveal the deep psychology of human beings. The image world in the world. It is believed that the control of the acceptance of the real world, the instinct and desire of human beings are suppressed, and it is true that the psychological reality of the human being and the original purpose are the absolute and transcendental world beyond the reality, that is, the surreal world, which is human Deep psychology or dreams. Breaking the barriers of reason and consciousness, pursuing the free release of primitive impulses and ideas, and treating literary creation as a purely individual spontaneous psychological process are all basic characteristics.

My pixel hotel reference is Peppers Soul hotel.

Soul is a 243 m (797 ft) tall residential tower local along the Esplanade, close to Cavill Avenue in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It has overtaken Circle on Cavill as the second tallest building on the Gold Coast, behind Q1. The building was approved by the Gold Coast City Council in October 2004 and finished construction in 2012 along with the next stage of the Gold Coast renovation project. It was developed by Juniper Group, and constructed by Grocon at a cost of A$850 million.

The site was previously occupied by the Raptis Plaza. By early April 2010 construction of the core, the structure had reached level 40. By July 2010 the tower had reached 138 m (453 ft) half the structure's total height. On the 14 March 2011, workers left the site in protest at the sacking of 11 Australian tilers while Korean workers were allowed to stay. Owners of units from level 39 and below were able to move into their properties before the building was completed. Some shops had opened in the retail section in mid-2010.

Peppers soul is a modern hotel with 200 rooms and complete facilities. The room is even equipped with a cooktop and kitchenware. This provides the hotel with a richer dining environment, of course, the hotel's restaurant can fully meet the needs of guests. Since the Gold Coast attracts a large number of foreign tourists, in order to attract tourists and compete with other hotels, Peppers Soul publishes advertisements and reservations on various countries' travel websites, so hotels can be booked in a variety of ways.

The Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia, borders the Pacific Ocean and has a 75-kilometer long beach, the longest beach coast in the world.

The beach is the most desirable in this area. Coastal culture is also a symbol of this region. People can enjoy the sun on the beach, feel the coolness of the sea, and choose to try surfing and jet skiing. The diet is also because the beach forms a unique culture, and fresh seafood is almost everywhere. There is also a unique beach style on the outfit.
The location of the hotel is also chosen to be closer to the beach. It is best to see the sea view in the room. This is also a feature. The hotel provides professional safety knowledge to enhance the awareness of the guests and ensure the safety of the beach.

According to the survey and research, the new hotel will be named Dafirenze. Because the Gold Coast has a perfect coastline, it is difficult to become a gimmick near the beach. So I decided to arrange the location of the hotel near the pacific fair and be closer to the beach than the casino hotel. This location is closer to Burleigh Head National Park and can be better connected to the park.

At the same time, shopping centers and casinos, as well as fine restaurants, are very attractive. At the same time, this location is the end of the tram, which is convenient for the guests to travel.

For lighting and viewing, the hotel will use floor-to-ceiling windows to decorate rooms and restaurants, and the gym will have a side facing the sea. The hotel will have a viewing pool on the top floor, which is a wonderful feeling of swimming in the air. The hotel also needs to provide an area where guests can experience massage and spar.

The interior of the room should be comfortable, the bathroom should be equipped with a bathtub, the TV should be set directly opposite the bed; the ergonomic table and chairs should be designed for business people, and the eye-protection table lamp should be equipped. In addition to wifi, the room will be equipped with an extra cable. A fridge and washing machine are necessary. At the same time, the hotel will provide an extra bed service to help parents with babies.

Pick-up service is necessary and the hotel will provide pick-up service according to the customer's request. The front desk will provide pick-up service, guests can inform the hotel reception in advance, and the hotel staff will help customers book Uber. The hotel will have a comprehensive feedback system, and guests can easily provide feedback to the hotel to help the hotel progress.

In addition to its own restaurant and bar, the hotel can outsource the venue to other catering industry peers, offering different styles of cuisine.

In modern society, customers generally need to use the Internet, so the full coverage and speed of WiFi is very important. At the same time, the hotel needs to meet customers from different occupations, countries and different identities. Need to demonstrate your diversity and flexibility to prove that you have the ability to accommodate different guests.

Each well-appointed room is equipped with ironing facilities, air conditioning and an LCD TV. An electric kettle and a coffee/tea maker are provided for added convenience. The bathroom is equipped with 24-hour hot water, a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries (within 6). In order to ensure the safety of the private space, the hotel is equipped with a safe for storing your valuables, and the hotel staff will not enter the room, even if it is cleaned, without permission.

Some guests have reacted that this hotel did not let him feel any service. When arriving at the hotel, no one helped to carry the luggage.

At the same time, the hotel's rules and regulations are too strict, and will not understand the guests for special reasons, not humane. As a high-class hotel, this level of service is difficult to satisfy the guests, and guests are likely to arrive early or arrive late due to flight or weather conditions. The emergency response measures in this case are very imperfect. Two sets of plans should be made in advance for the customer's reservation. The first set should deal with normal conditions and the second set should be used to deal with special situations. This is what hotel management will implement.

The interior design of this hotel has many advantages. First of all, as high-end hotel, it has a lot of space and customers can feel more comfortable. The entire room consists of four sections, each section being separated by a wall and each space has a clear functionality. This design breaks the traditional hotel design, and the traditional hotel rooms often see the bed as soon as they open the door, which makes it difficult for customers to feel at ease. At the same time, this design is more private.

Secondly, the design of the room deliberately expands the bathroom space, and the bathroom has a shower room and a bathtub, so as to meet the needs of customers.

The hotel's room is close to a rectangle, which can well meet the space planning of each floor, without too much space wasted. At the same time, one side of the room maximizes day-lighting and ventilation, and balcony space is enough for the customers in need to eat.

Finally, the positions of the bedroom can be arranged farther from the corridor while learning against the window, improving comfort.

The design of such a large space will inevitably increase the cost of the hotel, which will result in the hotel having to raise the price relatively, and cannot guarantee the number of stable customers during the off-season. The hotel staff will also increase the workload due to the design , which will make it difficult to clean the bathroom. The salary of hotel staff must also be increased.

On the other hand, the hotel's floor space will also increase, which will have some negitive impact on the location of the hotel.

Today when the Internet is developed, hotels will have more ways to sell themselves, and various promotions can be arranged according to different periods. The hotel will be added more entertainment and dining facilities and more businesses can effectively attract customers. For example, staying at the hotel can enjoy discounts on other restaurant or entertainment facilities in the hotel.

On the other hand, the hotel staff can provide more services to guests of charge. For example, booking a car, airport transfer, attraction recommendation, booking tickets, etc.

The Gold Coast has one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world, but it also  has the largest hotel base. There is never a shortage of competitors here. And many competitors are well-known chain brands in the world. 

How to get through the low season of tourism is also a crucial issue. 

I plan to expand the space in the bathroom so that there is enough room for a large bathtub to enhance comfort. The living room of the hotel will be designed as a corridor that will lead directly to the balcony. Push the hotel door open and you will see the balcony and feel the warm sunshine.

For the beautiful area of the Gold Coast, simply meeting the accommodation requirements is a waste of resources. Enjoy the local culture and scenery, and enjoy the comfortable living conditions in the hotel, which will leave you with wonderful memories.

One side and one corner of the room are made up of floor-to-ceiling windows or windows, which are good for natural light collection. Artificial light will be placed primarily in the bathroom and entrance.

Air circulation is very important for the design of the room. Especially the main activity area of the guest, including the living room and bedroom. Therefore, the window of the bedroom will be allowed to be opened, and the sliding door at the junction of the living room and the balcony will assume the main ventilation function.

Because of the corridor-like living room structure, the living room space is very narrow, so the connection of each space uses the design of the sliding door. This saves space and makes the overall effect wider. At the same time, in order to ensure the lighting of the room, the balcony and living room connected to the living room are designed as floor-to-ceiling windows.

Since the space of the bathroom is very large, it is necessary to leave a space for the toilet, and this space needs to be surrounded by a wall structure. This mechanism can be relatively thin, and the door will be a sliding door that opens outward. And the space next to this space can be set up in the shower room, this design will make the side of the bathroom very neat.

The interior of the room will be minimalist and will not be over-decorated, and every facility will be useful.

Here clearly shows my design philosophy, the space of the bathroom will be very large. There will be plenty of room for a bathtub and a shower room.

The hotel’s lighting will be very good, and the floor-to-ceiling windows will make the living room brighter.

During this design process, I encountered a lot of problems. For example, in the initial design phase, the overall spatial planning ratio needs to be constantly adjusted. Some facilities have specified dimensions, such as the size of the door and the thickness of the wall. I have found the required size for this information by looking up the information online. Then measure the size on the Sketch Up to create a 3d structure. In the process of searching for materials, it is always difficult to find the ideal material, so I have to spend more time looking for furniture materials that are close to my own ideas.

In the production of the model, I always buy not very satisfactory materials, and there are also great defects in the production. This will be a place I have to improve. I plan to go online to find a more suitable material store and try to make a more beautiful model.

In order to make my own pixel hotel, I learned some interesting design ideas through class and online search materials, and learned how to meet customer requirements through design. 

For me, I really like the modern minimalist design, which is very beautiful when it comes into life. Everything should be used, and too much decoration will affect the appearance. On top of that, incorporating some retro art into the minimalist design is what I want to do in the future.
